Quantum Conundrum Preview (PC)

20th of May 2012

In every circle, there are certain things you should - for lack of a better phrase - just know. Play hockey? You better hope a name comes to mind when people talk about “the great one.” Film buff? Casablanca should ring a bell. For those who play video games, Portal is one such litmus test.

Tap Dragon Park Review (Android)

20th of May 2012
Gamezebo Rating: 70

Tap Dragon Park could be described as a Pokemon clone, but looking at the game this way shortchanges it some. The creatures you raise are the guardians of your kingdom, which expand and flesh out as you earn more cash. You don't need to go out and battle dragons to get new ones, though; instead, you purchase dragon eggs from the game's shop. Hatching a dragon egg gives you a baby to work with, and you can slowly level it up into a more mature beast by having it train with a wizard. If anything, this is a virtual pet game that seems like How to Train Your Dragon

The Sandbox Review (iPhone)

20th of May 2012
Gamezebo Rating: 90

Have you ever thought about how the world might be a sandbox, and God might be a kid just playing in it? That’s, like, deep and stuff. It would explain the chaos that envelopes life at every moment, and we’d also have an answer for all the cat poop lying around. The Sandbox for iOS lets you muck around in your own digital universe, and heaven help whatever life form moves into your world of oil, steel, and fire.

Zombie Carnival Preview (iPhone, iPad)

20th of May 2012

A group of crows is called a “murder.” A group of cats is called a “kindle.” And a group of zombies is apparently called a “carnival.” Zombie Carnival for iOS is all about running down a street as the leader of a zombie chain and biting humans when they get in your way. You can try pulling the same stunt in real life, but you’ll probably get arrested.

Kickstarter Picks: Pinball Arcade - The Twilight Zone (Android)

18th of May 2012

There are few recreational activities as whimsical as that of pinball. It’s a physical endurance battle between you and the machine. On the best tables, an array of electrical lights, stories, and modifiers was enough to keep you going for hours. One such table, The Twilight Zone, is widely considered to be one of the best physical pinball tables of all time.

DragonCraft Review (Android)

18th of May 2012
Gamezebo Rating: 50

To put it bluntly, there's not much meat on the DragonCraft strategy bone. It's a pretty game, and at first glance it looks like there's a lot to do here, but it doesn't take long to realize that you're not the one giving the orders, you're following them.

Hey developers, Gamezebo is coming to a town near you! (Online)

18th of May 2012

With the warm weather upon us, the Gamezebo crew can’t help but want to get outdoors. And what better way to get outdoors than with a little travel? As such, Gamezebo will be on the floor at not one, not two, but three events in the coming weeks. Are you a developer that’s attending these events who’d like to meet with Gamezebo? Good. Here’s how:

The 5 arcade games Zynga should make next (Online)

18th of May 2012

It’s no secret that Zynga has spent the year trying to diversify their portfolio a little farther than games with the word “Ville” in them. Whether it’s dropping a fine $200 million to acquire OMGPOP and Draw Something, jumping into the popular bubble-popping genre to make Bubble Safari, or putting one of its purchased entities to use to use with the brand-new announcement of Zombie Swipeout, it’s clear that Zynga is trying to branch out.

The Journey Down: Chapter One Walkthrough (PC, Mac)

18th of May 2012

Welcome to the The Journey Down: Chapter One walkthrough on Gamezebo. The Journey Down: Chapter One is a point-and-click adventure game created by Skygoblin. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide on how to complete The Journey Down: Chapter One.

Zombie Farm 2 Preview (iPhone, iPad)

18th of May 2012

It’s a question every child asks at some point in their innocent lives: “Where do zombies come from?” Our answer is typically, “Well, when a daddy zombie loves a brain very much,” etc, but PlayForge has been doing its part to deliver the difficult truth: that zombies come from farms. In fact, Zombie Farm 2 for iOS features even more zombie-cultivating fun than the first game, because hey – your kids are going to learn the truth eventually.

A fish out of water: Big Fish Games announces plans to move to the cloud (Mac)

18th of May 2012

Paul Thelen, founder of Big Fish Games and recently re-positioned CEO, has his head in the clouds. We’re not saying he’s a dreamer, either. According to an interview with Venture Capital, it looks like Big Fish Games will be moving a majority of its games to a cloud-based streaming service.

“We’re in a transformational era,” said Thelen. “Now that I’m back in the seat, I want to do something big.”
