Cateia Games (makers of The Legend of Crystal Valley and Iron Roses) are developing a new strategy/simulation game for PC and Mac called Shaman Odyssey: Tropic Adventure. As your village's shaman, it will be your job to make your villagers happy and productive while exploring various tropical islands.

Although a tropical island might seem like the perfect place to live, things aren't that simple. Hazards like pirates, sharks, and storms are threatening the villagers and their families, and the members of your tribe have scattered to the surrounding islands. You'll have to help your people reunite and build a safe new place to live.

The question begged by Echoes of the Past: Royal House of Stone, a hidden object adventure game from Orneon with great art and some very clever puzzles, is this: How long should a game last to be worth our money? I was having a fine time playing when all of a sudden, at just a hair over two hours into the experience, the game abruptly ended with a "to be continued" message. Does such a short play justify digging into one's wallet?

We should probably take a closer look at the game before ruling.

It's a bit of a whodunit. Upon visiting an old castle museum and viewing a series of oil paintings of long-dead royalty we are suddenly whisked into the past to a time when the people in the paintings were alive.

Sort of.

Blob Dash is a little puzzling gem for the iPhone that reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on what.  It's a little bit Lemmings, a little bit Bomberman, and a little bit Chu Chu Rocket -- but in no way is Blob Dash just another carbon copy of these winning formulas.  Blob Dash is a fresh and fun experience that's totally unique to the iPhone.
