As one of the oldest social games of the modern era, it’s unsurprising to see bingo flourish on Facebook. Where folks used to gather in meeting halls and churches, fans of the pastime can now simply open up a page in their preferred Internet browser. Gamesville adds a pinch of its own spice to the formula with Pirate Cove Bingo. And though it might not be a trove of innovation, it can perhaps be considered something of a hidden treasure. |

Zynga Bingo may still be in closed beta, but that hasn't stopped Buffalo Studios from claiming that the game is a copy of Bingo Blitz. |

Dungeon Crawlers isn’t just the name of a genre anymore. Now that genre is also the name of a game! Not all that surprisingly it’s about, well, dungeon crawling. Sure, they’re not winning any points for brazen titles, but it has everything you could want in aDiablo-esque dungeon exploring game. Goblins, oozes, treasures, weapons, magic and... Ghostbusters references? |

Developer Realore’s claims that All My Gods is "a casual game like no other" are pretty much the biggest lie ever. There are dozens of other titles like this out there. It's by no means a bad game, but there a number of quirks that bog the experience down and may make you want to think twice about purchasing it. |

When I was a kid I grew up playing on a Tandy 1000 home computer. It wasn’t much to look at, my display had a limited color palette, and there wasn’t really anything beyond Space Quest II or Wheel of Fortune that it could run. But it was mine, and I loved it. Then I walked into Radio Shack one day and saw X-Wing running on a floor model. After this, I quickly learned the meaning of the word “upgrade.” |

With the rampant plagiarism that goes on in game development, something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. David Edery, CEO of Spry Fox, has just confirmed on his blog that his company has filed a copyright infringement suit against 6Waves LOLAPPS in regards to the latter’s release of Yeti Town, a game that clearly borrowed everything that was original about Spry Fox’s Triple Town, slapped on a fresh coat of paint, and made it to the App Store first. |

I typically don’t concern myself much with browser-based free to play MMO’s. Right or wrong, I just don’t expect much from them. So even when the basis of the game is something I absolutely adore (like Battlestar Galatica), I tend to just gloss over it and move on. Well, luckily after all this time I went back for an actual look. As it turns out, my expectations about these games was WAY off. |

While it’s easy to complain about the over-abundance of scary or spooky hidden object games that have taken over the genre, in most cases they’re at least playable, if clichéd. With Fashion Advisor on Mac, that simply isn’t the case as you’ll be forced to employ trial and error on almost every hidden object, and will find yourself laughing hysterically at the game’s broken English. |
