There are all kinds of tabletop games nowadays, and all kinds of gamers who play them. You’ve got your deck-builders who pour over their Magic cards, constantly trying to build the perfect deck. You’ve got your D&D groups spending hours on backstory and building dungeons that might get completely passed over. Then you’ve got your folks who are into the painted miniature scene.

Last weekend, Big Fish Games offered up their entire catalogue of standard edition releases in a limited “one day only” buy one get one free sale. It seems like the savings must have been in high demand, because they’ve just brought the deal back under the rechristened “Spring Fever Sale,” and this time they’re giving you a few more days to take advantage.

Facebook gaming is going a little more hardcore. Earlier today, Ubisoft announced that a new tactical combat title in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series will hit the social platform and mobile devices later this spring.

Indie Royale isn’t fooling around. With yet another indie game bundle arriving this April, they’ve been able to consistently release new game collections every month since October 2011.

There’s a rumor flying around about a new controller coming to iOS devices. It’s getting hard not to roll your eyes at this kind of news these days: new iOS controllers (such as the Fling and multiple iCade models) are just a few of the dozens of new third party peripherals announced each year. What makes this rumor different, according to Anandtech, is the fact that this new device would be made by Apple.

One of the coolest things about Kickstarter is that it's granted new life and second chances to game franchises that were seemingly dead in the water. The latest '90s-era video game series to rise up for a gasp of air is Shadowrun. Though Shadowrun is still a popular tabletop RPG campaign, it's been a while since we've seen the series take on a digital form. With any luck, that will change with help of the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter.

On the flipside, you can also play as part of a zombie team that has to hustle ninja invaders out the dojo's door. Hey, the living dead needs peace and tranquility, too.

Flying Kingdoms is an adventure style game from Vostu. Using your own character, you can go on your own adventures in far off worlds high in the sky. Choosing the right path may prove difficult but with Gamezebo’s quick start guide, we’re confident you’ll be soaring through the clouds in no time!

The story of Fibble is one of a tiny alien whose spaceship is knocked off-course by a stray soda can floating through the cosmos (don't ask us how it got there). As the ship falls towards the planet below, the titular alien manages to eject his four crewmates to safety before crashing inside an Earthling home. Once he collects himself, Fibble sets out on a quest to explore the house's four rooms and reunite with his friends.
