Jane Croft: The Baker Street Murder Review (Downloads)

12th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 60

Jane Croft: The Baker Street Murder is an oddly efficient hidden object game. It seems to figure that you've played your fair share of these kinds of games, and rather than waste your time with story, dialog, or direction, it instead just sort of points you at events and lets you get on with it. And yet despite its apparent austerity, it has an appeal that is difficult to deny.

Snakes of Avalon Review (Downloads)

12th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 80

Snakes of Avalon is weird. Like, really weird. So weird that by the end of the game there’s a good chance you won’t even know what happened. Or if it happened at all. Maybe it was just some sort of alcohol fueled delusion, who knows. But this weirdness is also makes Snakes of Avalon intriguing, which is a good thing since it’s otherwise just a pretty straightforward point and click adventure.

Zuma Blitz Review (Facebook)

12th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 100

Zuma Blitz is an implacable foe of getting things done. It waits for you on Facebook, promising a brief burst of joy and color to brighten up breaktime, downtime, or writer’s block. It a bit like opening a bag of potato chips: you keep telling yourself “Just one more!” until suddenly the bag is empty.

Zuma Blitz is a perfectly balanced blend of arcade action and level-based progression that takes the format of Bejeweled Blitz and improves it with power-ups that are easier to use and the ability to level-up and get a steady stream of rewards.

Please note: This game is being launched in stages to ensure load balancing and etc. - if you don't have access yet, check back again very soon.

Paperboy: Special Delivery Review (iPhone)

11th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 60

Paperboy refuses to die, and perhaps we should all be thankful. Born to glorious beginnings as an arcade game controlled with real handlebars in 1984, the game has since witnessed such an incredible number of reincarnations across different platforms that Hindus should embrace it as representative of the concept. After briefly appearing in a failed iPhone outing earlier this year on account of licensing concerns, the world's favorite window-smashing delivery boy has returned in Glu Games' Paperboy: Special Delivery, with story-based gameplay and visuals that largely remain faithful to the original. Sadly, however, unresponsive controls and slightly high price make this a game to avoid.

Unlikely Suspects Review (Downloads)

11th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 50

Unlikely Suspects promises a lot to the player, with over 4,000 different outcomes to explore. From that figure alone, you’d think the game would pay for itself, but once you figure out where the number 4,000 really comes from, you might find yourself questioning the purchase.

Winter Voices, Episode Prologue: Avalanche Review (Downloads)

11th of November 2010
Gamezebo Rating: 50

Winter Voices is an ambitious 7-episode tactical role-playing game by French indie developer Beyond the pillars. Avalanche, the first episode in the series, is the kind of game you really want to like. It's fiercely creative, doesn't kowtow to any current fads or trends, and offers a wonderful amount of freedom to customize and develop your character. Unfortunately due to heavy-handed dialogue, some localization issues, and battles that move at a snail's pace, the series almost grinds to a halt before it even begins. There are some very interesting things here, but you're going to need to be patient to appreciate what the game has to offer.
