I-play's Dream Day hidden object series has gone through a few themes over its run. The first three titles followed newlyweds Jenny and Robert as they got engaged and married, enjoyed their honeymoon, and moved into their first home. The fourth, fifth and sixth games featured glamorous destination weddings in Las Vegas, Italy and Manhattan. The seventh game, Dream Day First Love, launches a new direction for the series that explores real-life love stories - in this case, the remarkable and sweet story of Bill and Helen Ely who are about to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.

2010 has been quite the year for Doctor Who and video games. This past summer, players were treated to a series of free desktop adventure games. Now, as the annual Doctor Who Christmas special approaches, BBC has seen fit to put another visit from the Doctor in our stockings with the upcoming release of Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time for the iPhone and iPad.

Gamezebo’s Twitter feed has hit 2200 followers (yea!) and we did it the old fashioned way. Not by following every web site in the universe, but by tweeting our news and re-tweeting great content from the sites we follow with latest game news, free game shout-outs, and interesting musings.

Few sports seem so perfectly tailored for social games as horse racing: its rules are simple, its matches are short, and maintaining a good horse requires almost constant care. In the right hands, such a simple but addictive concept could potentially rival the genre's unassailable farm-based games and even draw attention to the sport itself, but only a tiny handful of games have made it out of the gate thus far. Among the most notable is Rubber Duck's Hooves of Fire, which springs out of the gate while covering virtually every aspect of racing horses with only a few stumbles.

Farmscapes, the latest effort from Russian game maker Playrix (Gardenscapes, Royal Envoy), tells the story of a teenaged kid who is sent to his grandfather’s farm to make sure he doesn’t waste his summer vacation inside playing video games. The irony of it all is that once you pick up this devilishly habit-forming match-three puzzler, you’re likely to do just that: Spend plenty of prime tobogganing time in front of your computer.

Cradle of Rome 2 is the sequel to the immensely popular and addictive Cradle of Rome match-3 game. Fans of the series will be happy to know that now much has changed between the two games, so if you were looking for some new Cradle to Rome action look no further. There’s a downside to this however, the game is so similar you may wonder what’s been changed at all.

Terraforming is the process of making barren planets and moons habitable for life. Terrafarmers, meanwhile, is the process of turning the well-worn Farm Frenzy game formula into something new and interesting again. Alawar’s latest time management game has a lot in common with the FF series, but it’s more than just the same old game with a sci-fi makeover. Terrafarmers adds plenty of new ideas and twists on the formula to create a fun and fast paced experience that will make you forget about all those terrible spin-offs.

Time to Hurry: Nicole’s Story takes a page from games like Shop-n-Spree to mix hidden object and time management genres in a way that is simple enough for all skill levels, but also offers a real level of challenge for those looking for one.
