‘Tis the season to be jolly, and if you’re the developer behind Cut the Rope, you’ve had a lot to be jolly about this year. One of the biggest selling and most critically beloved titles of 2010 gets a free holiday makeover to satisfy new players and old fans alike – but is Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift the stocking stuffer you’ve been waiting for, or a quickly rushed lump of coal?

From the moment Eternal Legacy begins, it's pretty obvious that Gameloft is doing its damnedest to put its own spin on Square Enix's Final Fantasy games. Not when the gameplay starts, but when the title screen loads: there are two characters that look like they were pulled straight from Final Fantasy X, right down to the choppy hair, cyberpunk sword, and summoning staff that the duo are sporting. This may sound like a bad thing, but it's actually meant as a big compliment, because the game mostly manages to create a great JRPG on the iPhone.

Combining line drawing, physics and arcade style gameplay, A Moon for the Sky doesn’t really bring anything new to the table – but it doesn’t have to. It’s a fun, simple game that sates many different parts of your gaming appetite. Yet while it’s a great gaming appetizer, it doesn’t have quite enough content to be a real main course.

City building sims are something of a fad right now, but few games follow the form to its logical conclusions so completely as Game Insight's Big Business. Want to sell that milk? You'll need a special truck for that. Want to open some new production facilities? You'll need to see if your power plant can handle it. Here is a game that focuses on both production and refinement and, to a lesser extent, on the importance of city planning. True to its name, Big Business illustrates the interconnectivity of businesses throughout a city and the hard lesson that you must spend money to make money. Oh, and it's fun, too.

Haunted Legends: The Queen of Spades attempts to cram in about as many hidden object game cliches as it possibly can. From haunted houses and magical objects, to murder investigations and strange contraptions. The Queen of Spades has it all. But in this case more doesn’t mean better, as the game fails to stand out in any particular way. It’s well crafted and looks great, but The Queen of Spades is lacking in personality.
