DoodlePhrases Review (iPhone)

18th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 40

Seems like there’s a doodle-anything based game on the App store these days, and I’m getting the sneaking suspicion that developers are running out of ideas. Doodle Jump, Doodle Find, Doodle Kart, Doodle Devil. Doodle this and Doodle that, better knock this off and get to the review before this gets Seussian, complete with doodle hat!

Sheeple Chase Review (iPhone)

17th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 70

If you’re looking for a simple, easy quick-pick-up game for your commute, Sheeple Chase can definitely help you hoof it. It’s a bleating fun time that won’t leave you feeling wooly. But if you think these puns are baaaahd, you ain’t heard nothing yet.

Rainbow Pony Review (iPhone)

17th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

By now, most iPhone gamers should be familiar with the genre of “running” games; that is, games that do little more than challenge you to run to the right as far as you can until you either die, run out of time or give up. Rainbow Pony does little beyond the standard, and its charm simply can’t carry it for too long.

Crossworlds: The Flying City Review (Downloads)

17th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 30

CrossWorlds: The Flying City is, at its best, your standard combination of hidden object and puzzle gameplay. At its worst, however, it is a game with muddy graphics, a horrible hint system, a very shallow and downright head-scratching story and an altogether far too difficult experience for what you get out of the game in return.

Farm Frenzy: Ancient Rome Review (Downloads)

17th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

Not content with a staggering five spin-offs, Alawar has decided to release yet another Farm Frenzy 3 game. And yet again, it’s simply more of the same. Farm Frenzy: Ancient Rome rehashes the same formula as the half dozen releases before it except with a new set of levels and a new setting. And it’s not even an interesting setting.

Treasure Arm Review (iPhone)

17th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 80

We’ve seen the microtransaction route for a while now in casual games. The idea to purchase in-game currency to speed things up works well with games that have very long tails to them. Genres like MMOs or social games like FrontierVille or Smurfs’ Village use it logically and, for many people, advantageously. Treasure Arm tries to use this same technique with a puzzle game and, while it’s a great puzzler, the pay-to-play part doesn’t really work too well.
