Garage Inc Review (Downloads)

19th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

The era of the Great Depression wasn’t a happy time in America’s history, so it’s a somewhat courageous setting for a time management game given that the genre’s tendency towards colorful and lighthearted stories. Garage Inc, a new release by developer TransGaming, puts the player into the shoes of Angelo Martin, an average joe who decides to open an auto shop during these tough times. Unfortunately, while the game’s presentation is top-notch, the gameplay lacks enough real challenge to keep the player interested.

Phantasmat Review (Downloads)

19th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 90

Oh, Video Game Hero. One of these days you might try not approaching that old dilapidated building that inevitably turns out to be haunted. Of course, you don't have much of a choice in Codeminion's Phantasmat. Don't let the well-worn plot device fool you, though. In a genre where so many games are rushed to market, Phantasmat is a breath of fresh air. The developer's respect for the hidden object audience, coupled with a clear understanding of what this audience likes and doesn't like, makes buying this game a no-brainer.

Fruit Frenzy Preview (iPhone)

18th of January 2011

Puzzle games are a dime a dozen on the iPhone but how many out there are fruit themed? Not many? I thought so. The upcoming iPhone and iPad title Fruit Frenzy has fruit everywhere, and it’s become so chaotic that players will need to organize it before it fills the screen entirely.

Rappin' Granny Review (iPhone)

18th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

Rappin’ Granny, as you might expect, is about a granny. One who raps. And also wraps. Better put, it’s about a hip-hop granny with a boat load of gifts that need to be delivered to her many, many grandchildren. It’s sort of a music/puzzle hybrid, with a silly premise and sillier presentation. But it also feels more like a basic concept than a full-fledged game and won’t hold your attention for very long.

Empire Online Review (iPhone)

18th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

having spent a few days with the game, it seems safe to say that developer Lakoo might have wanted to take another month or two to work on this English port. It's certainly a decent game, but the various limitations that consistently crop up prevent it from having much real appeal.
