In Wedding Salon, a new time management game by developer Sugar Games, you can experience this exciting rush by following Holly, who manages wedding shops all over the country while planning her own marriage at the same time. We were fairly entertained by Wedding Salon, but not enough to give it a stellar rating.

When you're a crazy inventor who's reached his twilight years, what do you do with all your free time? The answer, apparently, is to take a note from Clint Eastwood: hole up in a lighthouse-like tower, mount a giant crossbow on the top, and shoot anyone who comes near your front door. Nothing says "Get Off My Lawn!" like a giant flaming arrow aimed at somebody's head.

Kabam continues to push forward in its attempt to become the number two biggest social games company, raising $30 million today, in addition to the $9.5 million it has raised previously.

The company has been on a bit of a tear lately, growing from 20 to 200 employees in the past years with offices down the road from me (in SF Bay area) and China. A little birdie at Inside Social Games told me that Zynga is beta testing a new game called Mafia Nation. It was called Crime Nation a few moments ago, but through the magic of the Internet, it’s now Mafia Nation.

The game looks to be very similar to Mafia Wars, but with nice graphics. In other words, sort of like Crime City. Of course, if Zynga can do to crime strategy games what it did to city-building games with CityVille…then fuggetaboutit.

Garden of Orbs can best be described as a game that invokes childhood memories of playing marbles with neighborhood friends, yet also adult visions of playing billiards in their favorite pub. Combining these two classic games, Garden of Orbs looks to create a unique and original experience on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
