Imagine how fun high school would have been if instead of writing an essay for your final exam, your teachers simply tossed you into the nearest dungeon to see if you were smart enough to escape. It's all par for the course in Magical Diary, the upcoming RPG/romance sim from Hanako Games (Cute Knight, Fatal Hearts) where you play a student trying to make it through wizarding school.

PlayFirst has launched Diner Dash on Facebook. Given that Diner Dash has been downloaded over a billion times and is the gold standard and time management games, this is big news indeed.

I came to TrainCity as one of the few Americans who still rides trains on a daily basis, whether it's by dodging knife fights on Chicago's Green Line or suffering through yuppie commentaries on Desperate Housewives on the statelier Metra line. As such, perhaps I expected a bit too much from this charming but simple offering by LIFO Interactive and Gamevil. TrainCity has passenger trains, yes, but it wrestles with just how to implement them into the growing city around it (much like Houston or Los Angeles), and while the overall gameplay isn't bad at all, TrainCity is probably best left to the most casual of city builders.

Sometimes being fashionably late to a party can make you the belle of the ball. That’s certainly what we’re predicting will happen for the App Store’s Twitter feed. Debuting yesterday, Apple’s new @AppStore is promising followers that they’ll “discover new apps, get exclusive offers, and share with friends.”

While there isn’t an officially licensed Angry Birds LEGO set in the works (that we know of), that hasn’t stopped talented LEGO sculptor and Angry Birds enthusiast Chiukeung from creating his own.

Tom, Nelly and Totenkraft are back for Treasure Seekers: The Time Has Come, the fourth installment in the Treasure Seekers series that sees them in a race for nothing less than the Holy Grail itself - with the very fate of the world hanging in the balance! Fortunately, Tom and Nelly are pretty good at what they do and so is the game, which serves up a healthy dose of hidden object adventuring fun.

So let's say you're a blowfish hanging out in Lake Fuji with all your blowfish friends. One day, King Hikari's son goes on a fishing bender and decides to kidnap all your friends. The proper response to this, it turns out, is to strike out on a quest to rescue all your captured companions. However, since you're (literally) a fish out of water, this is easier said than done.

Back when iPhone gaming was still in its infancy – in a faraway land we call 2008 – GameHouse released a fun little physics game called Tiki Towers. Sure the game borrowed liberally from World of Goo, but at the time there was literally nothing else like it on the iPhone. Now, more than 2 years later, Tiki Towers 2 has hit the App Store – and very little has changed since its predecessor’s debut.

The goose is in the noose! In a move that everyone could have seen coming from a million miles away, Facebook has announced that starting July 1, every Facebook game will be required to use Facebook Credits as its virtual currency.

On Facebook’s blog, Deborah Liu writes that Facebook over the next five months will work with its gaming partners to integrate Facebook Credits into their game apps. Facebook will take 30% of the cut on each sale, which is compable to the amount Apple takes through the App Store.
