Shop it Up! Review (Downloads)

28th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 80

While HipSoft is mostly known for the highly acclaimed Build-a-lot-series, the developer now surprises us with a completely new game called Shop-it-Up! While the name is not exactly innovative, the game certainly is, enabling the player to build a large mall from scratch. In a seamless mixture of Create A Mall and time management features, the game proves to be an entertaining and challenging experience.

PlayStation gaming is coming to Android (iPhone)

28th of January 2011

If you can’t beat’em, join’em. It’s an adage as old as time, and it’s one that Sony now apparently subscribes to. Mixed into a week filled with announcements about their upcoming next gen portable device, codenamed NGP, Sony has unveiled the next platform that will play host to the PlayStation brand – and for the first time ever, it’s not a platform that’s owned by Sony.

Monty Python's Cow Tossing Preview (iPhone)

27th of January 2011

Remember Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Of course you do. It’s the classic comedy flick in which King Arthur sets off with his knights on a quest to find the aforementioned Christian artefact, while frequently quarrelling with the French. And do you remember what the French used to defend themselves? Taunts. Taunts – and a really big catapult.

Draw My Thing Review (Facebook)

27th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 70

Draw My Thing is basically an Internet version of the classic party game Pictionary. Players gather together in a chatroom-like environment, with one player given 60 seconds to draw a picture that evokes a keyword. Other players who guess the word gain points, while the artist gains points for drawing a guessable picture without cheating and just writing the word down. After everyone draws one or two pictures, depending on total number of players, the points are totaled up and a winner is declared. You get the option to share your (often hilariously bad) artwork with your friends if you like.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Review (Facebook)

27th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 80

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is the latest attempt by a major television studio to make a successful Facebook tie-in game, and predictably this virtual fighter largely follows the safe formula laid down by previous titles of the same ilk. You buy equipment, you level with every fight, and you take part in largely automated battles that hide most of the actual fighting. The good news, however, is that the Gods of the Arena have enough small tricks up their bloodied sleeves to warrant attention.

Chronicles of Mystery: Tree of Life Review (Downloads)

27th of January 2011
Gamezebo Rating: 50

Chronicles of Mystery: Tree of Life is the sequel to Chronicles of Mystery: The Scorpio Ritual. After traveling all over Europe in the first game, Sylvie Leroux, a brilliant (but young) archaeologist is back again for another adventure, this time dealing with a series of mysteries ranging from an ancient chest belonging to Ponce de Leon that may have been responsible for a man’s death, to the Tree of Life, which grants immortality. As Sylvie is tempted to learn more about these items, however, you’ll likely be tempted to turn the game off due to its tedium.
