We already knew that Playdom was working on games based on Disney properties, but we never expected this. The developer has announced a brand-new Facebook action role playing game based on the Marvel comic book universe, set to launch early this year.

I'm still not sure what happened with Legendary Heroes. It was inspired by the Defense of the Ancients mod for Warcraft III, features a number of the same mechanics as League of Legends, and … isn't nearly as fun as either title. That's a shame, because the game's got a lot going for it, but developer Maya still has a lot to do if it really wants to make the title great.

Following the success of games like The Price is Right and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, developer Ludia is bring yet another game show to Facebook. Press Your Luck is a game of general knowledge that can be fun for those seeking to go up against other game players, but is rather short lived in its tenure. Consisting only of a extraordinarily limited rounds of play, the game leaves players high and dry before they even get started.

In December, Louis CK (my favorite comedian right now, if you have never watched the TV show Louie, do it!), announced that he was going to break all rules for selling videos online and do his own thing.

Against the better judgment of his friends and colleagues, he decided to produce his own video, sell it on his own web site at a fair price point of $5, and make it DRM-free (so once you buy it you own it).

The result? Over $1 million in sales in just two weeks.

What does this little digital distribution experiment mean for games? In my opinion, a whole lot!

In Stone Age Café you play as a young woman named Chuchii. Your tribe’s shaman has foretold your destiny as the tribe’s cook, and thus begins the game. If you have played restaurant themed time management games in the past you won’t find anything new here besides being set during the Stone Age: In other words, you'll be seating customers, cooking food, and desperately trying to keep your customers happy as you run your café.

The most disappointing thing about Curse at Twilight: Thief of Souls is unfortunately what is also expected to bring you into the game: the story. You’re presented with a completely clichéd entry, as you are summoned to a once-abandoned manor via mysterious letter. Once you arrive, you’re quickly trapped and must make your way through this manor, uncovering secrets along the way, until you can eventually escape. While the setup may seem overdone, there’s an incredibly enjoyable gameplay experience hidden behind this gloomy façade.
