When it comes to games, the biggest problem with Google+ is the lack of original content. Google is looking to change that by getting in on the action itself, and developing its own titles for the social network. |

Let’s face it, everyone once in a while, we all enjoy a good party. And a game by the name of Clubbox is bringing the party to Facebook … and then launching it into outer space. Following the same thread as games like Nightclub City, the app is all about making the biggest and wildest alien nightclub in the galaxy. Unfortunately the result is a bit uneven, as for every great mechanic it adds, there is something else that just feels average. |

Even during the very early days of the Internet there’s been no shortage of virtual-pool titles to choose from. Miniclip adds yet one more game to the list with 8 Ball Multiplayer Pool. Does this latest Facebook offering bring anything new to the table, or is it merely a hustle? |

Even though gaming has become more and more mainstream, there's still a perception that the general gamer population is comprised of little more than awkward teenage males. Over the past decade studies have shown that this just isn't the case, and the availability of games on mobile platforms have meant that the gamer population is getting even more diverse. MocoSpace, the self-proclaimed “largest mobile gaming community in North America,” has just released the results of a new survey, and the results are pretty interesting. |

Hidden object games are largely solitary experiences. You sit in front of your computer and (when the game is good) you find yourself absorbed in the story, visuals, and object finding. But the success of Gardens of Time is changing that. In addition to single-player download games, there are now multiplayer social experiences on Facebook. The addition of social elements doesn’t always work out that well, but in the case of Hidden Chronicles the combination of competitive social features and a solid and engaging single-player mode make it an excellent way to get your HOG fix while browsing Facebook. |

There aren't a lot of gaming options out there for the blind, but Rock Vibe aims to change that. The brainchild of indie developer Rupinder Dhilon, Rock Vibeis a potentially revolutionary music game similar to Guitar Hero and Rock Band that makes it possible for blind (as well as sighted) gamers to play along by wearing vibrating gloves or belts that pulse in time to the music. |

“Cats and dogs, living together, MASS HYSTERIA!” If that famous movie quote does anything for you than you might want to keep reading about this upcoming mobile game. Humor is always a tricky thing to work into games but I think a lot of that is because people who aren’t funny on their own try to write jokes. When you base your comedy on one of the funniest examples of film ever made, like the developers of the upcoming Dungeon Crawlers are, you’re starting off on the right foot. |

Ion's iCade arcade cabinet has managed to provide those of us who frittered away our formative years in video arcades (and own iPads) relive the nostalgia of our youth. Not only does the device recreate the arcade control experience, but it also provides you with a free copy of Atari's Greatest Hits. Now, it turns out that the iCade cabinet is getting some siblings, including two that are compatible with the iPhone. |
