Enigmo Review

4th of March 2010

Enigmo is a beautiful looking game. The “Rube Goldberg” style graphics are fun and inventive and remind me of the inner workings of an elaborate set of pipes in an inventor’s laboratory. The physics of how things work are interesting, surprising, and sometimes mesmerizing. With all of the effort put into the art and graphics, I only wish the developer, Pangeasoft, had done more testing of the actual gameplay, which I found often very difficult and frustrating.

Defender Chronicles: Legend of the Desert King Review

4th of March 2010

Let's be honest about something: tower defense games on the iPhone are a dime a dozen these days. The big problem is that, by now, there are a ton of really good entries in the genre, which means that it's increasingly difficult to create a tower defense game that actually stands out from the pack. Thankfully, Chillingo's Defender Chronicles: Legend of the Desert King manages to not only stand out, but also maintain a sense of challenge while staying fun.

Defend Your Honor Review

4th of March 2010

Being an elf without a fairy is an embarrassing situation. How can you earn the respect of your peers? How can you prove that you're just as much an elf as the next guy? By going on a quest for the king, that's how! Defend Your Honor is a quirky new tower defense game that sets you on a quest to find the Golden Walrus, but not before it makes a few neat tweaks to the genre.

4th of March 2010

Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to raise the undead? Find out at the world famous Weardd Academy! This turn of the century flash game offers a darkly fun twist on puzzle games that fans of the real time strategy genre will love. Embark on an adventure to find out who burned the school down as you send your undead army to do battle with your classmates.

Bunni: How We First Met Review

4th of March 2010

Bunni: How We First Met is an incredibly simple resource management game that never really gets too busy or complicated. The mechanics in the game are easy to pick up, and the world size and variety of items offer just the right amount of variety to keep you bouncing from one area to another to check on your workers and further expand your dominion. It may seem simple by genre standards, but simple is something that's certainly welcome in a world of traditionally all-consuming resource sims.

BridgeCraft Review

4th of March 2010

For countless eons, mankind was trapped by the superiority of nature. Chasms, canyons, rivers -- we simply had no way to cross. Then, one day, our ancestors invented that all-important construct to help us cross the obstacles of the natural world with ease: the bridge. Thanks to BridgeCraft, you too can get your hands dirty building bridges like a real steel worker.

Big Pixel Racing Review

4th of March 2010

You have to wonder just what is going on in some game developers' heads sometimes. Maybe there's something in the water, because it's fair to say, the concept behind Big Pixel Racing isn't exactly what anyone would describe as 'the norm'. While some racers focus on signing up the best cars and simulating the toughest tracks, Big Pixel Racing turns its attention on dogs. Dogs, with square heads.
