I’m no green thumb. In fact, I’ve been accused of killing many a plant in my day. Sometimes I don’t water enough, sometimes I overwater. I don’t do it on purpose, but somehow it just seems to be one of those things I haven’t figured out yet. So, you can imagine my interest in the digital gardening game Green Fingers by No Monkeys. No danger of killing any of these flowers – they’re just animations!

Karma is a complicated religious concept that's hard to summarize, but it essentially boils down to this: Do good things and good things will happen to you; Do bad things and bad things will happen to you. This seems like an great basis for an iPhone game, where the player could control their fate by performing either good or bad deeds and accepting the results. Instead, in KarmaStar, your fate is primarily and frustratingly controlled by luck.

The Delaware St. John series got off to a bit of a rough start. While the first two entries showed a lot of promise, the lack of scares and convoluted storyline made them frustratingly disappointing. Thankfully, the third and latest entry in the series, Delaware St. John: The Seacliff Tragedy, addresses some of the major issues of its predecessors, making it by far the best game in the series to date.

When looking objectively at a game’s idea, generally you can get a good idea of what you’re in for. Looking at the gameplay concept for Maestro! Green Groove – line running crossed with timed rhythm action – seems like a sure-fire hit. Sadly, this maestro is missing more than a few beats.

Red Remover sounds more like an acne cream or stain remover rather than a flash game, but that’s what it is – a 45-level puzzle game from Gaz that will have you seeing red in your sleep.

Not all warfare is fast and furious. This is especially true when the combatants on each side of the conflict are only capable of crawling a few centimeters a minute. Literally charging into battle is absolutely not an option. Slug Wars may offer an unusual twist on warfare that moves along at a snail's pace, but issuing split second commands can still make all the difference between victory and defeat. When battlegrounds are littered with the slime trails of fallen enemies and piles of salt are deadlier than a barrage of napalm dropped from above, you have to tread, or ooze, carefully.

I find myself changing as I get older. My waistline has expanded. My hairline has not. It may be that I don't have quite the same sunny disposition that I used to. And my mental faculties, well, let's just say that my tack isn't quite as sharp as it once was. What's a poor old gamer to do? Whatever the answer to that question, it's a safe bet that Memory Clinic won't be a part of it.
